Picking up from the Mid April Power Ranking, this update uses nearly the same data criteria. AF Power Rankings continue as combination of the 2 divisions, and highly relevant to fantasy disc golf.
Here is criteria that went into this ranking:
- 2023 Elite (ES) average – 5 events thru Jonesboro, minimum of 3 to count for this list
- 2023 Silver (SS) average – minimum of 2 to count for this list
- Latest weekly ranking
- Last 5 adjusted average – basically EMS plus a select few A events, 3 min.
- How many events each is playing over next 4 – through Portland
- Player averages at upcoming events
Previous Power Rankings kept players playing just 1 event, or less, off this list. This update is making exception for Tattar and Wysocki as both are quite capable of outright winning the only (Elite) event they play in next month.
Notable drops this time around include:
- Paul McBeth – previously 8th – playing Euro Tour, so no events of standard fantasy relevance coming up
- Chris Dickerson – prev. 4th – playing none of the next 4
- Henna Blomroos – prev. 18 – playing none of the next 4
- Hailey King – prev. 21 – plays OTB only and her average there isn’t good
- Matt Orum – prev. 17 – plays Cascade only, and that’s SS with no known data
The next 4 events include 2 ES and 2 SS. First is ES, then the two SS events and 4th is Portland (ES).
The “Last 5 Avg” column pertains to 2023 data along with the 2 SS wrap around events. If player has just 4 for that average, it is colored orange, and just 3 is colored purple. NA means it is 2 or less for that column.
